Avril Lavigne Rocks The Runway along with Rappers and Reality Stars. 'Celebrity Magnet' Tom Murro and Celebrity chef Chris Nirschel, have been quite the party-hopping duo lately. However, five straight days of 2011 New York Fashion Week runways and after parties left Nirschel in dire need of some rest. So last week, Murro had to ride the party train solo for the first time in quite a while.
The first leg of Murro's fashionable adventure was a coveted front row seat for Avril Lavigne's Abby Dawn runway show. This songstress did not make things "Complicated," as the show was short in duration, about ten minutes in length. The background music included "Sk8er Boi" and other music by the singer and the show in general was cute to "boot."
N.J. Nets star Kris Humphries along with new bride Kim Kardashian and her sister Kourtney also attended Avril's show with a camera crew in tow. These girls keep popping up everywhere! Where there is a k-amera there is a Kardashian. Kim's younger sister, Kylie Jenner, walked the runway. The two older sisters watched with pride as they cheered Kylie on as she strut her stuff. Kim Tweeted this after the show, "Just left @AvrilLavigne's fashion show w my lil sis @KylieJenner walking in it!" Considering the Kardashian sisters now have their own clothing line at Sears, they know exactly who to ask if they need any models.
Murro had a chance to pose for pics with Avril on the red carpet after the show, and according to him she was as sweet as you would imagine. When Murro later looked at the picture they had taken together he thought "man I look old." There was unfortunately no sign of Brody Jenner on the carpet, but Murro did see him sitting next to the Kards watching the show. Murro took notice of "Real Housewives of N.J." star Teresa Giudice walking in late for Avril's show with a guy calling himself her unofficial manager. Although she showed up at the end she did stay for the next event, the Samantha Black spring 2012 runway show, which featured Russell Simmons' niece Angela Simmons. Murro said, Teresa was completely opposite of her table-flipping persona on TV as she posed for pictures both before and after the show with all of her fans.
Murro scored another front row seat right next to Darryl DMC McDaniels and his beautiful wife Zuri(ZMC), which was nice for Murro since they are both from the North Jersey area. This gave them something to talk about. According to Murro, they were both fun to be around and very friendly to their fans, which is always a pleasure to see. Murro also learned about the launch of Zuri's new website for fashion, food and entertainment as they posed for several pictures and Darryl worked his grimacing rapper game face for the camera.
While chatting he told Murro that he went to Catholic School and said he was like a target for bullies with his school uniform as a kid growing up in the inner city of Hollis Queens. Darryl's lifelong friend, Joe Simmons(A.K.A. Reverend Run) was one year behind him in school, read his amazing rap lyrics in a textbook, remembered Darryl then hit him up years later, and the rest is RUN DMC history.
Darryl went on to say that he and Run DMC never traveled with an entourage, no security, and no VIP, when hitting the clubs as they would hang in the main area with everyone else. Darryl also shared much love for President Obama, as does Murro. "thanks to meeting him I have a new career," said Murro. "Darryl told me he feels that President Obama should be more than president, more like he should rule the universe or something along those lines. I didn't disagree." Sitting diagonally across from the front row crew was Solonge Knowles, to her left Teresa Giudice, some tall baseball player named Shawn Marion from The Dallas Mavericks, who was in and out, plus and a few other notables that he couldn't identify by name. Murro posed for some pictures with nice guy Shawn and did the obligatory shot with Teresa as well, "kind of felt like I was cheating on my good friend Kim G," said Murro. "Hey, it's entertainment!"
After the show, he bumped into his new billionaire friend and Def Jam Records President, Kevin Liles, who was there wearing in one of his signature neon sweaters and rocking one of Murro's favorite watches, a Green Dial Vintage Rolex Submariner. "We finally exchanged numbers and I received a friendly, 'great to see you,' text from him on my ride back to New Jersey," said Murro. What a pleasant late-night text!
Although it was a great solo evening, Murro informed me that he did reconnect with his partner-in-crime Nirschel the following night for more NYFW fun with some Housewives, Jersey Shore and Mob Wives characters. By Celebritymagnet
